On 1 March 2003, a new two-stage Business Skills Program was launched in Australia.

The new system allows business migrants to be granted a Provisional Visa for four years, and after establishing the required level of business or investment activities, they can apply for a Permanent Residence Visa.

To be eligible for one of the provisional business visas, you must have:

• a successful business or investment career and,

• a genuine commitment to engage in business activities in Australia.
